The Power of Poetry

It is the eyes for the blind

And the ears for the deaf

It pours life into my mind

And kills every closeted breath.

It releases a fire of emotion

And opens a floodgate of truth

It sets my heart into motion

And supplies my fountain of youth.

It interlaces every letter to word

And clothes us unknowingly

It is mightier than a sword

And it’s the power of poetry.
