Power Poetry, I am Flawless!

Power Poetry, I am Flawless! Do you hear me? Need I say it louder?!

I.

AM.

FLAWLESS.

I have no idea how to put makeup on.

I can’t dance to save my life.

My voice cracks when I sing sometimes

And I don’t always say the right thing.

And I am FLAWLESS.

I don’t need to look like anyone else to feel beautiful.

I don’t need to blind myself to my inner beauty by sealing my eyes with thick liner.

I don’t need to stifle and suffocate my individual voice with goopy gloss.

Flawless. Quite literally “flaw” “less.”

Well, I won’t. I will be flawed for the rest of my life.

I find beauty in my imperfections! I don’t cover them in layers of power.

I have mismatched freckles all over my body. They lie in strange places. My neck, my left ear, one next to my bellybutton.

And they are beautiful.

I have a scar above my right eye that makes my eyebrow hairs stick straight up in one spot.

and they are beautiful.

I have rosacea on either side of my nose that gives me a constant state of rosy cheeks.

And that is beautiful.

To embrace your flaws is what makes you Flawless.

“Happiness and Confidence are two of the prettiest things you can ever wear”

I live my life with confidence in my flaws.

I know I look like a crazy woman when I dance, but I don’t hesitate to dance in front go the cutest boy in school when my song comes on.

Having flaws makes me feel beautiful because I know my flaws are unique to me. I am my own model of Flawless.

I am a bespecked, scarred, rosacea inflicted supermodel.

Flawless? Please, honey I am forever flawed.

And that is just the way I like it.
