Power Politics

I miss the days of honest Abe

of cherry trees and United States,

trust is what should matter most,

but we're ruled by liars thieves and ghosts.

And when did freedom lose to hate?

Are we doomed to repeat these same

    Mistakes?

The worst part is that I clearly see

the humor in this irony
