Power of Refusal

Say no?

Ticks and tocks, clank and clock

Hestitation, a moment longer

Maybe the idea will cross

Invisible lines of no trepassing increase

Across my brow, saying no

Is already hard enough...

Advancements, and eye rolls

Overwhelmed lingered hugs

Frustration, enough!

No.

Blank stares, confused grazes

Ticks and tocks, clank and clock

A moment of silence

and victory hails.

I'm a senior, who loves to write! I'm a proud dog owner, and sister. I want to one day help impact the world by improving educational systems in third world countries.
