Power- in a Word
Words are water
They flow and fall
Evaporate
Spoken or written
They move on
But like water
They can hurt
They can flood,
Drown and erode
Away at a heart
Cutting down into
The soul and
Forming canyons of hurt
Or valleys of pain
words can't be taken back
hurricanes can be forgotten
but the effects still remain
water can drip from
the heavens spurting life
up from the ground
so to can words
spoken with love
bring life to
barren lands
