The power of words

The salty tears

trickling down her face

These numerous times

can't be erased

The words that have been said

Bitch, slut, ugly, fat

Would you laugh at that?

Would you follow the others

and blow words worth thunder

Would you taunt and tease

to make her bleed

You might think

she's a freak because she cuts her arms

Only you are the cause of her pain

You drive her mentally insane

You have made her feel worthless, hopeless

and worst of all unloved

You can't do what has been undone

but know this

that saying that says

sticks and bones will break my bones

and words will never hurt me

it is false

words hurt

they course in your veins

they leave scars

that you are unable to erase
