The Power of Words

I crack the spine Microbes of dust and magic mix with the atmosphere I am instantly transported To a land of Stories of hope And defeat, War And peace, Love And Death. For precious hours I am consumed in the adventures I meet with old friends I see old heroes I am changed And I can forget Who I am Sometimes I am able to forget where I am On this Island Alone Sand my only companion Until I open the book.
