The Power of Words
Never have I seen 3 words,
that could mean so much to one person,
yet so little to another.
Never have I seen 3 words,
manipulate a persons self-worth,
into a state of forgetfullness.
Never have I seen 3 words,
crush a persons potential,
just because it was said so carelessly.
Never have I seen 3 words,
break a person down to tears,
yet bring joy upon their face.
Never have I seen 3 words,
give a person more confidence in one day,
than given to them within a year.
Never have I seen 3 words,
give a person a glowing apperance,
with sadness in their soul,
all because of the words, "I love you."
"I love you" should be a word of saftey,
where the feeling of nostaglia,
come into effect when heard.
"I love you" should be a sacred word,
only said when truly meant,
and never used selfishly.
Although both sides of the spectrum have been done,
one must learn from their mistakes,
and mature with those words in mind.
Never have I seen 3 words,
help a person,
find their true inner being.
