The Power of Words

Words

My father once told me

My words are my weapon of choice

I can spill hateful venom

Without giving much thought

To who I hurt

Or the gravity of my words

My father then told me

My words are powerful gifts

From my heavenly father

Who would want me to use my gifts for good

Who would want me to think before I speak

My words are my weapon of choice

But I will use my weapon for good

Instead of evil
