The Power of Younglife

Why do you talk about choice?

“It's you or them who will you choose to voice?”

Me of course, is that some sort of trick

“You always get time for yourself, help better another who can’t help themselves.”

But I don’t understand, she were so mean.

Calling me name after name, till my tears would stream

“They’re shouting for someone to look at them different, didn’t you know that we aren’t all transparent.”

Transparent? Like glass? I don’t understand

“We show what we want, not what we’re trying to withstand.

Do you see me crying? No. But I just lost a friend, and my neighbor who’s sweet, has one year to live. We all have our demons, just you wait, you’ll see. That’s why kindness, and patience pushes for you to be free.”

So, it’s all been the same, me, her, and them.

We all have those moments, if we didn’t, we’d practically be condemned.

Okay, that helps, the world isn’t one level,

Is that why you like us? Cuz we’re different and special

You can teach us things we were never aware of

All while learning about the love we can give ya

Wow, I think I know just what I can do

I'll ask her to come over to talk to you too

About my younglife leader who helped me, help my bully, who is now one of my best friends.
