Powerful

I toss and turn at night

Wondering if your alright

Your upbringing was tragic

I'm learning how to accept it

Little boy running the streets

Just to make sure his family eats

Strapped all the way down to his knee's

Learning not to be naive

The word "friends" is used so lightly

Holding down the block

He seen so many people get popped

Sitting behind bars

Thinking about his life from the start

Wounded from within

Wondering when its all gonna end

Drinking and smoking

Suppressing his emotions

Praying to god

He has a open ear to listen

Not knowing god has heard his cries

It's just up to him to start doing right

He had to be a man at a young age

Growing with so much rage

When he's near

I feel his pain

Sadness all around

I don't blame him it wasn't his fault

Faith is powerful

If you don't believe

How are you gonna stand the waterfall ?

I've grown to love him with all his

imperfections ..
