Powerful

i was powerless when i was young,

i was powerless the night it happened and every night after.

i was powerless when i was silent and everyday after.

i was powerless when i was young, 

i was powerless when i gave up and all the times i almost succeeded

I was powerful when I stopped,

I was powerful when I stopped blaming myself and my body 

I was powerful when I broke my silence,

I was powerful when I freed myself and every moment after.

I was powerful when I learned my rights as a person,

I was poweful when I learned my rights as a woman and I have been powerful since then

Now

I am powerful, but truthfully i've always been.

We are all powerful, and I only hope you can realize it.
