Powerlines
Whoever controlled the light controlled the land.
For the light brought progress, and progress was the blood of the city.
Yet it was not always this way in the town of Chronos.
A town of darkness and blight--
Chronos was absent of light.
Chronos's darkness consumed and swallowed the citizens.
Leaving all blind.
Yet in the land of the blind, they with one eye rules.
And they loved it, enforced it, and with their torches they burned.
Burned away all the progress towards the light.
And from the ashes came comforting ignorance.
But no comfort for Zeus, who gazed up at the sky and saw the flash of lightning and the roar of thunder
He saw the light.
He saw the power.
He began to work.
Spinning powerlines.
The city was connected.
And of the shadows came allies.
Allies born, consumed, and now regurgitated, by the darkness.
Soon, those who ruled by the flame died by the flame.
For the world was lit out no longer by fuel, but by power.
By Lightning.
Chronos was electrified by Zeus's lightning.
And thus fell the Titans.
