Powers Beyond the Eyes

Without them there is nothing.

A life of powers is a life unknown.

To reject their existance is to reject reality.

So am I to give up everything?

Do I ignore the truth?

When people tell me I'm crazy,

am I to just conform?

Am I to hold my truth beneath their ruse and nothing more?

Although it seems that my life is a lie,

it's nothing more if I don't try.

To spill the blood of those who cry,

if  in the end, they don't reply.

I'm trying to be more,

trying to understand.

But when I do nothing but implore

everything becomes more than bland.

They're wanting to change me

wishing to brand me.

Becoming something im not

is becoming their every thought.

I'll hide in the shadows,

sacrifice the loop holes,

so that they can be happy

and I may be guilt free.
