The Powers of One Voice
I write,
Because when I get alone at night,
I get this urge to overthink, to scream, to cry, to fight!
I have all these explosions in my body, and words wrestling through my psyche,
I'll grab a pen, an old napkin and I... Paint!
I paint colors with my words, colors you've never seen,
I paint new worlds with happy endings,
Worlds you get lost in, green lush labyrinths full of gardens and sweets,
how can you not be happy to eat,
It's an escape from my loneliness, its a dive into a new world,
When I type up and paint, I also invent,
I'm an engineer of words,
There are no limits or lines in the beauty of expressing oneself,
I'm an no longer obsructed by ego, I'm no longer judged,
Because I have the power to create and unveil,
I send my two bits into the universe and let it be known what I feel,
It's empowering and I'm free!!
And sometimes, If I'm lucky, I connect with others
through my inventions; through my paintings; through my words!
And it's.... as if.... I was never alone.
