Poetry is essential to life,
You start off with a pencil to write,
The page is blank but your mind is vast,
Those vivid thoughts you must find and grasp,
Your deepest true feelings must be brought to life,
To reveal a treasure that's Is more than bright,
Poetry is the key to expression,
The worlds mirror to see your reflection,
They see the truth your persona hides,
The beauty, the ugly, the creativity in our minds,
When one feels realities pain,
And the hurt of the world seems more of a strain,
the power of poetry helps one escape,
To a peace of mind, a wonderful place,
Nothing matters your heart gets to vent,
You are one with yourself....and it starts with a Pen
