Pray for Poison

The man in the mirror looks fat and ugly

He seems unattractive, repulsive, and rude

Thanking God for the glass between us

That the broken, stupid, lazy person

Can’t infect me through the glass

How worthless could he be?

Overweight and unintelligent

Indignant self-biases creep up

Like ivy on a sleazy piece of chain

Is he over-emotional or just too

Fucking stupid to understand the spiral?

The arrogance to believe he is anything but

A groveling, unoriginal mess

It makes me sick

A fucking fake,

A condescending garbage

Homunculus, disgusting and untalented

A trail of alienated angels

Left in the wake of this monstrosity

But

The man in the mirror

Is all of this

And yet

I deserve to hurt

I deserve to be sick

I’m worse.
