Prayer
God,
Are you really there?
And do you hear my prayer?
For I am in despair.
Why aren’t you there?
Are you not aware?
Of my heartfelt prayer.
I do not dare?
But I cannot bare.
I am in the Devil’s snare.
But am I in your care?
This is unfair.
Yet, you are fair.
Dear God, where?
For He does not hear my prayer.
For this I swear.
And this I will declare.
That ye are unaware.
That ye are nowhere.
“For I am there.
And do hear your prayer.
Are you in despair?
For Christ is there.
I am aware.
And do listen to your heartfelt prayer.
Do you dare?
For you did not bare.
Is it truly the Devil’s snare?
Or do you not care?
Why is it unfair?
Yet, you say I am fair.
Do you know where?
For thou won't hear, my answer to thy prayer.
For this I do swear.
And this I will declare.
That I am aware.
And I am there.”
God, I do not dare.
For you are so fair.
For I was unaware.
That I was in my snare.
For I was nowhere.
And you would not let me despair.
I did not prepare.
For I know that thou art there.
