A prayer
"I cry out to the Lord,
In desperate need of His saving grace,
Longing for impossible things to be restored,
And for darkness to be replaced.
The heart is broken, filled with fear,
For loss is all around,
But in God's presence, there is always near,
A comforter to be found.
Desolate and perishing, the cry goes out,
For the enemy has prevailed,
But the Lord is compassionate, without a doubt,
His mercy never fails.
So we turn to Him in our time of need,
With eyes overflowing with tears,
Hoping for His miraculous deed,
To bring light to our fears.
Oh, Lord, hear our plea,
For only You can do the impossible,
To bring life where there is death and set us free,
And make our hearts whole.
With love and kindness, You forgive our sin,
And though there may be punishment for wrongs,
Your grace and mercy will always win,
Turning our sorrows into songs.
So we cry out for Your help and Your power,
To bring life to the dead and healing to the land,
For in Your presence, there is always an hour,
When miracles are at hand.
May Your glory shine bright,
As You work wonders in our sight,
Turning desolation into delight,
And filling our hearts with Your light."
