A Prayer to the Lord

Dear Lord you’ve done so much for me, You sacrificed yourself to save sinners like me But yet, I know I haven’t been giving you the thanks That you deserve. Help me to do the things you want me to, To please you the way that you would have me to, To serve you respectfully and joyfully, To spread your glorious word to others, And tell them of your wondrous works. O’ humble Lord I will bless thee I will give thee the praise of a lifetime, I will pick up my cross and follow you And bear the pains of this life But will remain faithful until the end When I shall live with you in heaven, eternally.
