A Prayer for those who see Death as their Only Option...

Tears fall from my face,

and soak the sheets under my bowed head.

Lord, give her strength!

I pray.

Give her the strength to carry on

despite the pain he caused her.

Help her see that she has something to live for!

Death is not an option!

There are people who love her,

who would hate to see her go

before her time is come...

Lord, help her to see...

do not let his cruel words

condemn her to death...

remove the handle from her grasp,

take the blade away from her throat,

put the knife into its sheath...

Do not let her do this...

Lord, help her,

I pray.

Help her see the love

that so many have

for her.

Stop her from killing herself.

Lord, please help her...

and anyone else thinking the same...

I got into poetry my freshman year of high school. I absolutely fell in love with it. It is my drug, my addiction that I cannot shake. I love visiting Renaissance Faires, theme parks, swimming, hiking, singing, writing, and reading. I love the movie "PS, I Love You." I am a hopeless romantic, but I have not always had the best luck in relationships. A lot of my poetry comes from my heart and mind, and holds special meaning, maybe even a few tears. But some other poetry of mine is simply random and weird and goofy. Just me being me. My nose gets cold easily, and my room is always a mess. I collect stuffed animals (don't laugh) and rocks (that I named for a time when I was younger). I also know how to play Snaps. Yeah. I also have a pet fish (Danny), two turtles (Todd and Talulah), two cats (Timon and Angel), two goats (Hearts and S.J.), and five dogs (Sheila, Shakespeare, Rusty, Duke, and Rebel). Yup. We're a farm. Not literally, but a lot of pets. I have a guitar, but I can't play yet. I need lessons. I shall learn though. Oh, and I have written way more poems than I have actually published on here. I have over a hundred. So what you see is only a peek. Hope you like my poetry.
