Precious and Destructive

(poems go here) What is used so much, yet can’t be described by mere words? It can be used for warmth. Protection. Encouragements. It can be seen in trust. Care Determination Passion It can cause happiness. Sadness. Jealousy. Betrayal. Fury. It can starts friendships. Relationships. A simple yet strong bond. It had begun discussions. Arguments. Fights. Wars. It can take days. Weeks. Months. Even years to build and grow. And yet only one mistake to ruin everything it stood for. It has the ability to send a man On his wildest journey. Braving through all challenges. Overtaking anything and everything That gets in his way. Refusing defeat and ignoring temptation. Just releasing his true and full poterntial. And yet it can send a man On an eternal hell-ride, Leaving him broken insides, Waiting for the next wave of torture to come And destroy any remnants of his spirit. He will live for nothing else. It have been there since the beginning And will remain until the end. It does not have a look But it can be seen. It cannot be held, But it can be obtained. It is common, And yet treated as something precious. What is this delicate, horrible, precious, gruesome, warm, awful, beautiful, destructive, exciting, painful, wonderful, blinding, liberating, corrupting, improving, mind-numbing, strengthening, confusing, powerful thing? It is love.
