Precious yet Forgettable Moments

Summer is "drawing." I am sitting.

These are the moments I will be forgetting,

Not intentional, yet somehow unavoidable.

How could I let this happen, for someone so adorable.

It's not something I know, as I have only been told,

By mothers and fathers who say it's something to behold.

The moments you think you will not forsaken,

then one day you realise that thought was mistaken.

I write when I feel somber.
