Symbiosis.

Greek. Meaning together.

interaction between two organisms

living in close physical association,

typically to the advantage

I am, and have been

In perfect symbiosis

Since before my life began

In darkness,

I waited for birth

are not

in union

At stake?

A sister’s reputation

A father’s holy sacrament

A mother’s pride.

I live behind

A stained glass closet door

A stencil of my sister

My mother’s expectations

Loving deeply

Loving devoutly

Loving God.

Incapable of commitment

A whore.
