Preparing For Life

It's really true,

Isn't it?

How fast it all goes?

One minute, summer lasts forever

The next, you blink and it's time.

Time for decisions to be made,

All on our own.

Decisions that impact us,

And shape our adult lives.

Lives that we have to set up ourselves,

Who do we want to be?

Where do we want to go?

Go figure; our parents were right!

That life is not just handed to you,

You have to work, and think, and prepare,

For all that lies ahead.
