Presence ...

1 Corinthians 15:55

55 “O Death, where is your sting?
O Hades, where is your victory?”

Faces staring at my heart … pictures all around me

What do they see as they stare at my inner-man?

Now we seem so far apart … is this really to be?

Is this part of life’s mystery or a predestined plan?

Once they were here and close to me … in the physical that is

Now they are as far away as just a thought

They’re in my heart always to be … in the spiritual that is

As my Lord surely paid  for the Salvation’s plan He bought

Draw the line:

Oh confused flesh … one day you’ll be gone from me

Six feet under to decay with little left but dust

You thought you could stand the test and sought to forever be

Now you know how you betrayed His Spirit and His Trust
