Presence of Hurt

My brother, my sister

 Here we lay

 Not just me

 But we

 Going down

 One by one

 Day by Day

 The day we

Speak, is

The day

Changes comes

But when

Change comes

An outliar arises

Arising to break

your spirit

Rip apart your heart

Kill you

Then make you another statistic

The statistic of increase

In the number of police shootings

That has an officer free

My brother, my sister

We may lay, today

But we will rise

Tomorrow

Today is the day for rest

Tomorrow is the day for battle

Battle for our wasted time

Laying for that badge, of yours

Battle for our freedom

from statistics

Battle from the presence of hurt

Today is Now, Tomorrow
