The Presence of Lonliness

You are within me And though you're gone you linger Through the empty spaces Caress the tips of my fingers With a ghostlike motion So I know here it is Though I couldn't be sure And though I shouldn't be saddened Even with time to be me All I wanted was you As if inevitably We're to be pulled together Forces at work without we'd fail to exist Love goes deeper than a kiss And happiness Not always bliss but alone is scourged And as an only half a smile is forged You are the core What keeps me solid even rich when I'm poor An everlasting sense of allure I'm in the sewer And as it goes this time is borrowed I know that you already felt my sorrow Indefinitely tomorrow
