present

 present

Today is a gift

That’s why

It’s called the present

But I want to go back

To yesterday

The days

when we played pretend

The days

our cover ups didn't matter

The days

popularity Was only in movies

But mostly

I want to go back

to the days

Where we had no clocks end

To make decisions

To think about high school

The days

we could dream

About being princesses

When we got older

Today is a gift

Thats why its called the present

But i want to go back

To yesterday

Because now it’s time

We’re older

And being a princess isn't

An option

So there’s your present

That’s your gift

And sadly there’s

No return
