Preserver

Restless in bed, my parents words in my head "make good grades, did you get an A" I'm the best I can be, but they don't see They make it sound like it's easy to always do well, but the stress is getting to me like fire in Hell. The closer it gets to graduating school, the more I feel useless and like a fool. But I will still preserve because that's what I've been taught, pay attention;intelligence cannot be bought Maybe one day I can look at my kids and say, hello my darlings give your work a rest for the day. Because I know what it feels like to be pulled ever single way, but it feels good to be needed anyway.
