Press Play

Press play.

Now pause.

Moments of yesterday.

What is my true cause?

Just wanting to be free.

Enveloped in a glass box.

Maybe this is where I'm suppose to be?

From outside, she mocks.

Eyes gleam back.

Now I realize,

Was it perfection I gazed at?

I, myself, was minimized.

Break out.

Break free.

The years kept in count.

Why was it only me?

I tried to communicate.

I tried to learn.

This is my fate.

My efforts-- overturned.

That's when I waved hi

And she waved back.

Relief by a sigh.

Look at her- much I lack.

Transcendence.

Gregarious.

Intelligence.

Hilarious.

Who is she?

What am I?

How could it be.

Herself she denies.

Passion.

Creative.

Determination.

Assertive.

Who am I?

What is she?

Myself I deny.

How could it be.

Trapped.

A transparent lie.

Merely tapped.

Shards fly.

Just wanting to be free.

A broken glass box.

This is where I'm suppose to be.

Where is she who mocks?

Press play.

Don’t pause.

Moments of today.

What is beauty, without it’s flaws?
