Pressure

Pressure

Parents say: Children need to be perfect

Forgetting, no one is perfect.

Children are held to standards,

 Unreasonable.

Perfect,

What is this

Making perfect grades, never making mistakes, always being motivated?

That's not real.

Children have bad days, forget their homework, wake up sad.

Parents put pressure on kids to “help” them.

Is it helping?

When children feel worthless,

And they’re not smart enough,

They can’t find something to be proud of,

When is it time to stop?

When do you teach children to embrace themselves?

And not change them.

When do you let children enjoy their childhood?

Instead of shaping them into robots

When will parents stop putting pressure on their children?

To be something they’re not.
