Pressure
The bases are loaded.
Our pitching staff has imploded.
I’m all we got left can’t you see.
The pressure has been dumped on me!
STRIKE ONE!!
Inside, outside? Where should I aim?!
Up, down? This is an important game.
He’s given me a glare.
I’m starting to get scared.
BALL ONE!!
Crap! I missed.
Now I’m starting to get pissed.
I have to calm myself down.
I know! I’ll throw it down.
STRIKE TWO!!
He’s in my grasp.
I got to think fast.
Sweat’s rolling down my face.
I have to keep him off pace.
BALL TWO!!
It’s just like from a story.
This is for all the glory.
What should I throw?
Curveball, fastball? I don’t know!
BALL THREE!!
The game is on the line.
It’s my time to shine.
I let the count slip.
That doesn’t matter a bit.
STRIKE THREE!! That’s it.
