The Pressure to Breathe
I can't watch the sunset
because it hurts my chest
but I like the way the waves crash against the shore
dragging it back down with the tide
I like the sounds the rocks make when they hit each
other as the water pulls them away
it is violent and calming all at once
this pressure on my chest
makes it hard to breathe
it is just me crumbling under the weight
of all the things I do not know
but then I have to remember
that these things come and go
not every day will I be okay
and that's okay
