Pressure to Succeed
The pressure to succeed is overwhelming, I feel as if I'm drowning slowly
Life decisions are being made made for me, by people I feel barely know me
To be black and suceed is a talent on its own, but at what costs?
I'm tired of people telling me what to do, my dream is to be my own boss
A job in the entertainment industry would be the perfect fit
But see, it's about more than being famous and getting rich
It's working my way up, first recieveing an internship soon
Then becoming CEO of my own record label, making other people's dreams come true too
I could finally afford to buy my mother a house, and make sure my family's all set
Allowing them to put their hopes and dreams into me, becuse we're all we've got left
One job could change my world, and take me out of the dark days where my tears created puddles
And place me in the luxury provided by my dreams, allowing me to trust my struggle
