Pretend It's Still Me Inside

Like gun shot wounds

Like broken glass

I'm holding on now

But I won't last

Another day

Another week

I can't breathe

I can't speak

I'm counting every minute

Since the moment you gave up

And I'm trying to keep working

So wake me and wind me up

Watch me smile

Watch me stride

Watch this hollow shell dance

Pretend it’s still me inside
