Pretending is Okay

Let's pretend that everything is ok, I put up a smile just so that I can say, I am fine

can't you see, I smile because I’m trying to be happy, But I’m actually thinking

“Liar liar, you want to die, you want to tell your friends goodbye, Let it all go, make

it go away, But I don't want to lie, but I have to say I’m fine” Don't worry about me,

I’m as happy as could be. That’s what I try too make you see, but if you really knew

me you would see, the person I am isn’t me. I have scars and burns that you cannot

see, I hid them from everybody, and what you see in my eyes, It isn’t real its a

disguise. I've played my part in life; I'm tired of this strife, why won't you let me die.

I'm getting tired of my own lies; I could easily take the rope or the knife looking back

at my life. You know that I don't want to be here, But all I can say is I’m fine….

When I’m really not fine.
