Pretty Girl

Pretty girl they say.

Sexy girl.

Cutie.

Beautiful.

No matter who say it

Or how often

I hear it

I can't be sure.

If I am

Attractive

Like they say

Why do I

Feel

The way

That I do?

Tears stain my face

Constantly

While in the dark.

So no one can see.

If only they saw

What I see

Would they still think

The way they do?

There are times when

I hate what

Is staring back.

At me.

In my reflection.

I am but

Skin and bones...

Some will say

That society

Has corruped my mind

But what if...

What if they

In reference to society

Are right?

People say that

They are more about

Personality

Than they do looks

But a person's looks

Are what draws you

To them

To begin with.
