Pretty Girls

When you catch sight of a girl

with earrings of pearl

and hair braided up in a heap

you’ll think what a goddess

and hope she’s not modest

because how you like what you see.

But when this thought comes

I caution you sons

don’t be too quick to agree.

For when a girl like this screeches

to your horror she teaches

that beauty so quickly can flee.
