Pretty Pretty Girls

Pretty pretty girls

All dressed in white

Showing every flaw

Every curve & line

Pretty pretty girls

Doing their tasks

Cleaning the dishes

Collecting the trash

Pretty pretty girls

Forced to sit

Mouths clamped shut

No words escape their lips

Pretty pretty girls

Strung up like lights

Shining down on us

Day and night

Pretty pretty girls

Soaring high

Reaching for the stars

By candlelight

Pretty pretty girls

Dreading day

Dreading reality

Wanting to play

Pretty pretty girls

Locked in the house

Forced to pace

Around and around

Pretty pretty girls

Trying to read words

Giving up when

Their head starts to hurt

Pretty pretty girls

Sitting down

Twiddling thumbs

Not yet making a sound
