The Prey Has Spoken

There are some times when I would like to take

A step outside to feel alive and speak

What's on my mind. But I can't for my sake

Since I am too young, they think I'm a "freak."

I want to destroy the wrongs of the world

But of course, I can't, I am never right

I can't stand it, my mind is being swirled

They constantly say, "it's not worth the fight"

I can't take it anymore; I need change

Many others need the same, those poor souls.

Can the difference I need be arranged?

As if they are the fire, we are the coals

I want to help you but in exchange, please

Find a way to put my tired heart at ease
