Priceless

(poems go here) Oh dear Esther, what is wrong? Why do you mope and pout along? Well dear sir, I tell you why I’ll tell you everything, I won’t be shy I must warn you though, the list is long Because there are so many things wrong I want to fit in with all the people in town But when I’m with them, I feel like a clown My skin is so pale I’m as fat as a whale My shoulders are broad My family is odd My feet are too big I eat like a pig I’m not good at sports My dreams, I feel, nobody supports I’m not good in school My friends aren’t cool I don’t like my clothes or my hair So much so I don’t want to go anywhere My life is just falling apart Sometimes I wish that I could restart I’d be somebody, pretty and wise With fancy clothes and dazzling eyes I’d become a multi-millionaire Nobody’s wealth would compare I can picture it all up in my head I would much rather live that life instead But I’m forever stuck right here Wishing that my problems would just disappear I’m as wanted as a flee Now do you see, Why I don’t want to be me? These things you say aren’t true at all Your role in life, it isn’t small You’re kind and sweet Your friends are neat You’re courageous and brave You listen and behave You are loved, I know that as fact No matter what you wear or how you act You see dear child, I created you Your Mom, your Dad, your sister too For you, I have made great plans To go out and be my feet and hands I know that faith is sometimes tough And the world and its views make loving me rough But one day you’ll return to me In heaven you’ll live for eternity That day will be triumphant and glorious Because you, my daughter, have come out victorious This life and its troubles, on that day, will be gone But until then, know I’m always here for you to lean on I want you to be happy day in and day out I want you to know that without a doubt, You are just the way you’re supposed to be So now can’t you see, You are wanted and needed in this life So let go of your worries and your strife I’ll be with you every step of the way So walk with me, and try not to stray Through me all things are made possible And together, we are completely unstoppable Esther, you are one of a kind Fearfully and wonderfully designed You are loved beyond measure A true godly treasure To buy you, no one could afford For you are a priceless lamb of the Lord
