Prince Charming

Like the mornings dew twinkles,
So do your eyes.
How the sun shines so radiant and bright,
So does your presence delight.
As the wind keeps mystery within the air,
So do you keep us all daring a guess.
It’s you my love, yes you,
That brightens my every day and though.
But only you sweet darling do I cherish so,
For as I express my love to you,
Take not that I share it with no others but you.
For you have lifted my spirits since the very day and time,
That God let me meet you, on that very spot.
Is it a dream?  I think not.
For until this day,
I have wished we do not part.
And now it has become clear to me,
That my feelings toward thee are shared.
Oh, what a blessed thing is mutual thoughts,
But not just any thoughts,
The wonderful daydreams that do not stop,
They have no end, but keep going on.

I dream of days when my knight comes to save me,
And slays my evil dragon keeper.
He charges up the castle stairs,
As I anxiously await my darling and friend.
As he charges in my prison cell,
Relief washes over his loving face.
With a twinkle in his eye,
And a presence so bright,
He gathers me gently in his big strong arms.
As his sweet lips touch mine,
It reassures me that I am fine.
And to end all of my fairy-tale dreaming,
I shall but talk of nothing more of the man I hope you will be.
But know this my darling,
In my eyes you are perfect.
Even your manner and air of walking
Drowns out all the hunger and starving,
Drowns out all the worldly things,
And then, I shall start my daydreaming again.
