A princess and her prince(ss)

There was a young girl

sapphire eyes and locks of gold

Hoping for a savior, a prince

At least that is how the story is told

Really, this girl wanted nothing more than to be alone

To walk the forests, picking flowers

Or dance in the halls of her tower

All on her own

But she would read and read

There were tales about girls waiting

waiting for a prince to sweep them off their feet

like that was all they could possibly need

This girl rather stay in her tower

Until one day a savior did come for her

they fled together and fell for eachother

Rapunzel finally undertood love and its power

Hand in hand they roamed forests, picking flowers

They danced through the night, free from towers

They were birds of a feather

Alone, alone together

Some would spot the couple, a girl and her savior, who wasn't in chainmail

but in a dress, with long charcoal locks, and loving eyes

So, ignore Rapunzel's tale

Now you know, they are lies
