"Princess" and the pea

“Once upon a time, there was a price who wanted to marry a princess…”

We all know the story of the princess and the pea.

The one where the price found his princess and tested her royalty by making her sleep on a pea.

And they lived happily ever after right?

But what if they didn’t?

Let’s fast forward to the morning after, when the princess woke up, grumpy at her terrible sleep.

She exclaimed that something must be wrong with the bed, for how could anyone sleep under such terrible conditions?

The price and his mother smiled a sly smile, pleased that the girl passed their secret test.

They both leaped up and embraced the girl, accepting her for who she said she was. I mean she passed the test right?

The prince went about his princely duties, happy as a clam at finally getting to marry the princess of his dreams.

However, his princess wasn’t as dreamy as he thought she was.

Little did he know, as he proceeded to rule the country, the princess slipped into the bedroom quietly and replaced the pea with a conniving smile on her face. 

This was the beginning of a PEAcieving marriage.
