Princesses Please Apply, no Peas Required
The Prince has come of age
And a bride is to be found
That can win the princes’ heart
And share the burden of the crown
She must be able to ride a horse
Shoot an arrow five hun’red yards straight
Stand guard like any soldier
Sleep aloft upon her steed
Make the forest her palace
And the roots her canopy
Keep court amidst chaos
Rule wisely, deal justly
But although she must be fierce
And brave as a warrior queen
A lady she must be too
Governing with wisdom and strength
This princess shall not be
One delicate and frail
That gets bruised by peas
Beneath mattress shields
Instead one of majesty and grace
That may be queen, wife, and mother
With equally good mind as face
