Prison Of My Mind

There's a secret place known to me where I run and hide Where the sun doesn't shine, somewhere deep inside There's a place where no one's gone, far hidden from prying eyes Where Willows weep and Roses die, where I've dug my grave, where darkness resides Bloodstained walls and moaning drawls , creaking doors, damnation's whores Fearsome faces, chains and maces, loathsome, graceless Murderous eyes peer from dark places, stalking, waiting, patience Pounce without notice, life drains and blends to the tint, every novice spent, repent? There a secret place known to me where I'm banished and without key Where cackles resound a chilling sound, hungry growls expecting thee There's a cold shrill of metal and a shiver up the spine, a sharp heartless whisper: "You're mine!" Where the specters of the mind seize and bind and howl a cacophonous glee Nightmares so vivid I must have lived it, childhood cries, a vicious vice Toss and turn to a red eye glare, close my eyes, but he's still there Fight the panic, can't withstand it, learn to hide the pain in pride Ostracized to the rear of my mind, locked up tight to save those I love in life There's a secret place known to me where I'm sacrificed Where I'm held fast by puppeteer's strings, wrapped around my body, I shudder and gasp There's a trill of mockery, debauchery, anticipate the kill in treachery Where those in life you've trusted raise the blade in bloodshed My pain will help others gain, knowledge within a suffering Gladly given, all have risen; and I lie where Willows weep and Roses die Scythe aloft, sharp and kind, free me sweetly from this confine Hear my cry cut out as I die, in this prison of my mind
