Prison of Tin

You turnt me away
you pushed me down
you always bossed me around

I wasn't allowed freedom
Til the day I escaped
I jumped off of the cliff side and into the waves...
I plummeted through darkness
away from gods divine embrace

Time has no meaning
life is just a waste
is this what it's like to have freedom
wasting my days away

the days without sunlight
The nights without dreams
I know how dire this might seem

I looked into the darkness
And grabbed the sharpest knife
I stabbed myself once
I stabbed myself twice
for I was the darkness
The enemy of grace

But now that I am away
Freedom is here to stay
no person will pray
For me to return

He built the prison
I kept myself in
only if I realize it was made. Out of tin

I now lay on the floor
Blood all around me
I rise towards the light
To gods divine embrace
I am free of this earth
I'm free of the shackles

I look down from heaven
On the life I left behind
now only if they could read this rhyme

Only if you could see,
The beautiful things that could be,
But all is gone
All is too late.
