The Prisoner
Dear Prisoner
Trapped within the halls of your mind
Behind the bars of fear and disgust
Self doubt reigning supreme
Above all else
Insanity
Bouncing around
Trapped within one's own skull
Craving freedom from fear
Darkness
Despair
Force the pain down
The pain of a heart broken
By your own selfish goals and desires
By your need for attention
By darkness
Behind your bars
You sizzle with rage
Rage only subdued by more rage
An endless stream of anger
And then sadness
Only you hold the key
The key to your cage
And your mind’s freedom
