Prisoner In My Thoughts

Was this the result you sought?

That I be a prisoner in my own thoughts.

These emotions are from what you taught.

Because of this we fought.

As you leave me hidden away,

Thoughts of you still lead me astray.

For your actions, do I heavily pay.

As you continue to ignore me every single day.

Yet still I can't help but crave your presence.

When we touched it was intense.

While we were together it just made sense.

Our feelings are now only a masked pretense.
